Preventing gum disease
There are a number of ways that you can look after your teeth to avoid gum disease:

  • Brush twice a day, with an end-rounded soft-bristled toothbrush, or an electric toothbrush
  • Change your toothbrush regularly , and at least every three months as recommended by dentists.
  • Floss daily to remove plaque in between teeth, in areas that are hard to reach with a toothbrush.
  • Use a toothpaste that contains anti-bacterial and anti-tartar ingredients.
  • Visit your dentist regularly – every six months – for a check-up and professional cleaning.
